Because the equipment has no effective monitoring means, the electric emergency workers could not get to the scene in time to deal with the accident in the case of a fusing and falling accident. Because of failed to repair in time, this will cause economic loss and reputation damage to the power company, this may even lead to social instability.
On-line detection equipment has been extensively used in power distribution network with the development of China’s power grid. The online monitor for falling type fuse developed by our company uses gravity induction technique, high voltage energy extraction technology, a wireless communication technique, information networks, electronic technique and other modern technologies. This monitor can quickly and accurately on-line detect the state of falling type fuse, meanwhile, the monitor will send the collected fault information to the monitoring center or operation and maintenance staff. The operation and maintenance staff can take the corresponding type of fuse to the accident site to repair immediately after receiving this information. This can shorten the power outage time. The monitor provides great convenience for trouble locating.
